Your notes write your questions. Nothing else.

ExamMode is made by confirm: legal entity and address. This policy explains what the ExamMode app and this website collect, and what happens to it.
The short version
- Your course material is used to write your questions, and for nothing else.
- Screen Time data never leaves your iPhone.
- No tracking, no ads, and we never sell data.
What ExamMode collects
When you sign in and use the app, we store:
- An account identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google, plus your name and email address if you choose to share them.
- Your course material: the text of the PDFs, slides and photos of notes you upload, and the questions generated from them.
- Your study history: which questions you answered, when, and how you did. The app uses this to schedule reviews and to show your insights.
- Your subscription status, so the app knows whether ExamMode Pro is active.
How your course material is used
The text of the material you upload is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, to generate questions and to grade your typed answers. It is used for that and nothing else. confirm: Anthropic processes it under commercial terms and does not use it to train models
Your material is stored with your account so your questions can sync between your devices. It is deleted when you delete the course, and everything is deleted when you delete your account. confirm: deletion timing on the backend
What stays on your iPhone
ExamMode pauses apps with Apple’s Screen Time controls. Which apps you pick, when they are paused and how you use your phone are handled by iOS on your device. None of it is sent to us. We cannot see which apps you block or how often you open them.
No tracking
We don’t use advertising identifiers, don’t sell data and don’t share it with data brokers. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising code. This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties.
Payments
Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and billed by Apple. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase status. confirm: identifiers shared with RevenueCat
Signing in
You can sign in with Apple or Google. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email address. We use the account identifier only to keep your data together between devices.
Where your data lives
Your account data is stored with Supabase in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) region. Access is restricted to your own account. confirm: hosting statement
Your choices
- Delete your account in the app, under Settings. This removes your account, course material, questions and study history from our servers, and revokes Sign in with Apple. Your subscription is managed separately in your Apple ID settings.
- Export your data by emailing us. confirm: whether in-app export exists

Children
ExamMode is made for university students and isn’t directed at children under 13. confirm: age threshold for the regions you launch in
Changes
When this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, the app will tell you.
